Over the past eleven years, Sonics Basketball Club has championed youth basketball in Goa through elite coaching, grassroots development, and state-level leagues, successfully propelling athletes to state and national representation. Beyond player training, we actively drive grassroots 3x3 tournaments, the annual Under-17 League, and dedicated women's competitions to foster competitive excellence. We now look to bring this proven, structured coaching pathway and summer camp program directly to your school to build a powerhouse basketball foundation for your students.

A former National player for Goa and a FIBA-recognized, WABC-certified coach, Andriel Fernandes—widely known as "Coaching Andy"—is a cornerstone of Goa’s basketball ecosystem. Driven to elevate local talent through modern training, technical precision, and disciplined conditioning, he founded the dominant KJS Basketball Club in 1996 and later co-founded Sonics Basketball Club.
Currently serving as the Head Coach of Sonics Basketball Club and a member of the Goa Basketball Association Selection Committee, Andy has spearheaded major state initiatives, including the Under-17 Basketball League, grassroots 3x3 tournaments, and dedicated women's leagues. Through elite camps, skill clinics, and progressive coaching, he remains dedicated to building robust pathways for Goan athletes to compete and excel at the highest national levels.

Basketball isn't just a game for me. It's been a way of life for over 15 years. I'm Coach Johan Braganca, a WABC Level 1 Certified Basketball Coach and a former player who proudly represented Goa at multiple National Championships. From competing on the court to developing the next generation of players, my passion has always been the same: helping athletes become the best version of themselves.
Over the years, I've had the privilege of coaching hundreds of young players across multiple schools and training centres, including St. Britto's High School, St. Mary's School, Green Meadows, Young Achievers, St Francis Xavier's mapusa, Chubby Cheeks, Young Achievers and several other basketball programmes.
My coaching philosophy is simple: Learn. Work Hard. Have Fun. Whether you're picking up a basketball for the first time or looking to take your game to the next level, every practice is an opportunity to improve, build confidence, and fall in love with the game.

Basketball has been a part of my life for over a decade, ever since I first picked up a ball. I’ve had the privilege of representing Goa at the National level and winning multiple State Championships and other tournaments. In 2023, I began my coaching journey under Coach Andy and Coach Johan, who helped shape my approach to the game and coaching. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to coach and lead teams, be part of successful tournament campaigns, and help players develop both on and off the court. My goal is to share my experience, build confident players, and create teams that play with purpose, passion, and togetherness.
